With it’s floral taste, elderflower brings to mind summer and sun. The sweetness of the elderflower is mixed with a little lemon, which gives a well-balanced combination of sweetness and sourness. Elderflower has been cultivated since the Viking Age and was considered sacred as it was believed that the goddess Freya lived in it.
A salty licorice with a note of juniper that lifts the licorice and lingers. On the juniper the marks from the leaves forms a Y which the Vikings interpreted as a representation of Thor’s hammer.
Our “Raspberry Mjölnir” has a clear taste of raspberries. Raspberries grow wild throughout the Nordic countries and the Vikings liked to flavour their mead with the tasty berries. Combines very well with ur ”Salty licorice Mjölnir”.
