From jewelry to candy!

After many years of working with jewelry and making replicas of historical finds, the idea was born to make it out of candy instead of casting it in bronze or silver! We chose, what we thought, was the coolest and most unique Thor’s hammer and soon we found a fantastic candy factory just outside Malmö that helped us further realize our dream. The rest is history!

Our Mjölnir is based on a Thor’s hammer that was found on Lolland in Denmark and dates back to the 9th century. It is the only known hammer with a runic inscription, and with seven runes it says “Hmar X is”, which roughly means -“This is a hammer”! The original was however made of bronze, not candy;)

Our salty and sweet hammers are all vegan, gluten-free and without palm oil. The flavors are natural and inspired by Scandinavian nature.

When we are not daydreaming about the Viking Age, we like to make people happy. Sometimes with the help of candy!

• At the “Lakritsi- & Salmiakkifestivalit” in Helsinki 2025, our hammer with salty licorice & juniper won first prize and was voted Licorice of the Year!
